After two years of testing in municipal health and elderly care, the TALT project shows that AI can be a valuable aid when nurses and care staff write documentation. Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg led the project with Systematic, but the solution needs a legal basis before it can be used in normal operations.
What they built
Systematic built three AI prototypes for speech recognition, summarisation and categorisation. In nursing assessments, staff dictate the conversation with the citizen, and the AI transcribes it, pulls out the key points and sorts them into the 12 nursing problem areas. The AI can also summarise a citizen's record (for example what has happened since the last visit) and turn a dictated visit or daily-rhythm plan into the right order. Health staff from 11 municipalities took part in the trials.
The result
The qualitative conclusion is that the AI is a valuable support for documentation and frees up time for citizens. The source does not report time savings in numbers, and the project notes that a legal basis is still missing.

Odense doctors test an AI scribe that writes the patient note during the visit
By Region Syddanmark (Odense Universitetshospital and Lokalpsykiatri Odense)
Region of Southern Denmark is testing an AI tool that listens to the conversation between doctor, patient and staff and drafts the journal note. A psychiatrist in Odense says it saves him three to four hours a week, while an emergency physician says the notes are not yet structured well enough to save him time.
Copenhagen-area emergency departments roll out AI that reads X-rays for fractures
By Region Hovedstaden / Region Østdanmark
The Capital Region and Region Zealand are rolling out an AI algorithm that analyses X-rays for suspected fractures in emergency departments and urgent care clinics. It lets nurse practitioners and junior doctors decide more often on their own whether a patient can go home.
Shopify CEO had Claude build his own MRI viewer from a USB stick
By Tobi Lütke (Shopify)
Tobi Lütke received data from his annual MRI scan on a USB stick, but it could only be opened in commercial Windows software. Instead, he had Claude build an HTML-based viewer that worked on his Mac.
