Kalshi hired AI filmmaker PJ Accetturo to make an ad for the 2025 NBA Finals, and the whole spot was generated with Google's Veo 3. It aired on network TV during Game 3 and is described as the first fully AI-generated ad shown during the Finals.
What they built
Accetturo wrote a script inspired by GTA, had Gemini and ChatGPT turn it into a shot list with detailed prompts, and generated 300-400 clips in Veo 3 to get the 15 used in the 30-second spot. The final edit was done in CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro.
The result
Produced in 2-3 days for about $2,000. The filmmaker calls that a 95% cost reduction compared with a traditional ad, which is his own estimate.
