Chandler Bolt, CEO of Selfpublishing.com, built an AI system in under a month that grades every sales call and coaches reps, starting the replacement of the company's sales managers with AI.

What they built

Every sales call is automatically graded against the company's sales rubric and the reps get coaching feedback. A Slack bot called "the librarian" returns the 5-10 most relevant books from their catalogue of 7,000+ published titles in a given category, so reps can tell a matching customer story during the call. They built it themselves in less than a month after being quoted $12k to build and $6k a month to maintain.

The result

Self-reported: half a million dollars in added sales the previous month. It saves 10-30 hours a week across two sales managers and reviews more calls than a full-time reviewer could.
