Associate General Counsel Mark Pike shows how Anthropic's lawyers built their own Claude workflows without writing code. A self-service review tool in Slack lets marketing staff check their own material before it goes to Legal.
What they built
The 'Marketing Material Self-Review Tool' is pinned in Slack. Marketers paste their text, and Claude reviews it using a skill file that holds the legal team's past guidance and review framework. It flags issues such as publicity rights, overstated claims and statistical errors as low, medium or high risk, and suggests fixes. For contracts, Claude compares versions in Google Docs and Office 365 and suggests fallback language from the commercial playbook. The lawyers also write their own skills for NDAs and vendor agreements.
The result
Turnaround for marketing review fell from two to three days to 24 hours (self-reported). Contract comparison saves hours of manual work.
